Motor Control Basics is a great textbook if you're trying to focus on controlling motors - simply put. There are many ways to control motors, through switches, motor controllers, variable speed drives, relays, contactors, programmable logic controllers, and more. This book covers many of the methods and hardware used in modern motor control circuits.
Electric Studies for Trades is another wonderful book written by Stephen L. Herman, who has written many books on electrical theory. This book is great because it is industry specific and therefore suitable for an electrician level of understanding. It does not delve into engineering topics, but stays appropriately in the area of electricians in the construction or service industries.
